Fantastic location right on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff, one of the best breakfast buffets we've had with delicious fresh fruits and excellent coffee, evening meals were also superb. Restaurant has a great view of the beach. We stayed in a suite with view of the iconic historic lighthouse and the Wadden Sea with a side view of the North Sea. Beds were very comfortable. We're looking forward to our next trip!

I stayed at the Strandhotel Gerken for two days and really enjoyed it. The hotel is ideally located, right by the sea. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I particularly liked the bar boss Louis. He was very nice and funny. Every evening he served me a delicious drink that exactly matched my preferences. He also told me a lot about the hotel and the surrounding area. He made my stay pleasant. The Strandhotel Gerken is a great hotel for a short vacation, especially in the low season. I highly recommend it. I will definitely come again to enjoy the nice atmosphere and good service. Wangerooge - the island for the heart

The welcome was very friendly. We had a beautiful room. One of the new ones. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet very extensive and tasty. However, there were very long waiting times in the afternoon for coffee and cake. We waited 50 minutes for our coffee. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

All in all very good, the location is a dream, the rooms are very nice, the breakfast is particularly good, half board and tea time, the sauna and wellness area are just 1a, the staff is nice and always makes an effort to please the guest, the kitchen is excellent and good quality! We'd love to come back!

Very nice hotel right by the sea. The rooms are newly renovated and really nicely and comfortably furnished. We had a room with a sea view and that was really great. Breakfast and dinner buffet very varied and everything was very tasty. When it came to coffee and cake, the waitresses weren't quite as good at it. We waited almost an hour on both days, even though the tables were only half full. The wellness area is also very well equipped and the saunas are also quite large.
